Role Overview
Learning Commons is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives across engineering, data, product, and learning science teams. This role brings executional rigor, governance, and strategic alignment to high-visibility programs that advance public-purpose AI infrastructure for education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-quarter, cross-functional technical programs with executive visibility
- Design and scale technical program operating models, governance standards, and planning systems
- Coordinate data pipeline and infrastructure initiatives, including vendor partnerships
- Standardize Jira governance, program tracking, and roadmap transparency
- Drive cross-team alignment, risk management, and clear communication
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in technical or engineering program management
- Experience leading large, high-impact technical initiatives
- Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira administration
- Experience with data infrastructure or data pipeline programs
- Ability to influence without formal authority
