Role Overview
The remote Middle School Science Teacher delivers certified science instruction to grades 5-8 students in an online environment for Insight School of Washington (ISWA), a Stride K12 partner school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online science instruction
- Monitor student progress using Stride K12 learning management systems
- Differentiate instruction based on student mastery and needs
- Maintain gradebooks and ensure academic integrity
- Communicate regularly with students and parents/learning coaches
- Prepare students for standardized assessments
- Travel occasionally for testing, professional development, or school events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active state teaching license in Science (Grades 5-8)
- Ability to pass background check
- Washington residency or within 50 miles of state border
