Role Overview
The Network Engineer is responsible for installation, configuration, monitoring, and operational support of the College’s enterprise network infrastructure in a higher education environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and generate reports using monitoring tools.
- Perform routine maintenance including firmware updates and configuration backups.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and inventory records.
- Assist with network security policies, ACLs, VPNs, and firewall rules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- CCNA certification required.
- 3–5 years of network engineering or administration experience.
- Experience with Cisco networking technologies and monitoring tools.
