Founding IT Operations Manager responsible for building, securing, and scaling Speak’s global IT infrastructure from its San Francisco headquarters.
Role Overview
Speak is building a human-level, AI-powered language tutor. We are looking for a founding IT Operations Manager to build and scale our IT infrastructure with a focus on security, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support all internal IT operations, troubleshooting user issues and managing device environments.
- Manage core IT infrastructure including SSO, Google Workspace, and MDM solutions.
- Oversee global onboarding and offboarding for applications and tools.
- Implement and monitor IT security controls and vendor risk assessments.
- Champion data privacy and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and GDPR.
- Build and automate internal tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with People Ops, Engineering, and Finance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, systems administration, and security operations.
- Expertise with SSO, SAML, SCIM, macOS management, and MDM practices.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work from the SF HQ three days a week.
