Designs and delivers evidence-based instructional solutions for nursing education, supporting onboarding, competency management, and continuing education in a healthcare setting.

Role Overview

The Instructional Designer partners with nursing education leaders and subject matter experts to design, develop, and evaluate evidence-based learning solutions supporting clinical onboarding, competency management, and continuing education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze learning needs using data, feedback, and performance metrics
  • Design and develop e-learning, simulations, videos, and blended learning programs
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Manage and optimize content within the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and update materials based on outcomes
  • Leverage emerging technologies including multimedia tools and AI-supported content development

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field
  • 2–4 years of instructional design or clinical education experience
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or Camtasia
  • Strong project management and communication skills

Additional Information

This is a full-time role with standard business hours. The position is remote with periodic onsite presence in Providence, Rhode Island.
