Role Overview
The High School Special Education Teacher delivers online instruction to students with special needs at Idaho Virtual Academy (IDVA), a Stride K12 partner school. The role focuses on individualized instruction, IEP compliance, and student progress monitoring in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online instruction
- Develop and manage compliant IEPs and documentation
- Monitor and assess student progress using the learning management system
- Collaborate with parents, learning coaches, and service providers
- Ensure accommodations and modifications per IEP requirements
- Prepare students for standardized assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active Idaho Special Education Teaching Certificate
- Ability to pass background check
- Ability to work full-time from a home office
Additional Information
This is a full-time, remote position with up to 20% travel required for testing and professional development. Employment is at-will.
