Role Overview
The High School Art Teacher (9-12) delivers certified art instruction in a fully online environment for Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA), a Stride K12 partner school. The role focuses on student-centered teaching, progress monitoring, and collaboration with families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online art instruction.
- Monitor student progress using the learning management system.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents/Learning Coaches.
- Prepare students for standardized assessments.
- Maintain gradebooks, submit grades, and ensure academic integrity.
- Participate in school activities and travel to testing sites as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and six months of student teaching experience.
- Ohio State Art Teaching License.
- Residency in Ohio.
- Ability to work independently in a professional home office.
