Role Overview
The Cyber Security Lead provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership for cyber security across the University, safeguarding people, data, systems, and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the University’s cyber security programme with a proactive, risk-based approach.
- Advise senior leaders on cyber risk, threat, and assurance.
- Embed security by design across platforms, projects, and services.
- Lead and develop a specialist cyber security team.
Requirements
- Proven senior cyber or information security leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of cyber security and data protection legislation.
- Relevant professional accreditation (e.g. CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001) or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
