Role Overview
The High School ELA Teacher delivers English Language Arts instruction in an online environment for Michigan Virtual Charter Academy (MVCA), a Stride K12 partner school.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide synchronous and asynchronous online instruction
- Personalize learning and differentiate instruction
- Monitor student progress using the learning management system
- Maintain grade books and ensure academic integrity
- Prepare students for standardized testing
- Communicate regularly with students and families
- Travel occasionally for testing and professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active Michigan Teaching Certification with English endorsement
- Ability to clear background check
- Residency in Michigan
Additional Information
This is a full-time, remote position with occasional travel. Start date is immediate for the 2025/2026 school year.
