Role Overview

Wiley is seeking a dynamic Deputy Editor to support the open-access journal Advanced NanoBiomed Research within the Material Science & Physics - Health/Bio cluster. The role focuses on strategic journal development, peer review management, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically develop one or more journals with the Editor-in-Chief.
  • Manage editorial evaluation, peer review, and manuscript decisions.
  • Establish and maintain networks of authors, reviewers, and board members.
  • Represent Wiley at conferences and outreach activities.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop the journal portfolio.

Requirements

  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Molecular Biology, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of scientific publishing and peer review.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and networking skills.
  • Interest in open access and science communication.
