Role Overview

The High School Special Education Teacher delivers online instruction for students with special needs in a K–12 virtual school environment. The role focuses on personalized learning, compliance with IEP requirements, and strong relationships with students and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online instruction aligned to IEPs
  • Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and special education documentation
  • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and learning coaches
  • Monitor student progress using data and work samples
  • Facilitate IEP meetings and collaborate with service providers
  • Ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Active Missouri Special Education Teaching Certification
  • 0–1 year of related professional experience
  • Must reside in Missouri
  • Ability to work full-time remotely with occasional travel

Additional Information

This is a full-time, remote position with up to 20% travel required for meetings and testing. The role is with Insight School of Missouri, supported by Stride K12.
