Role Overview
The Middle School English Teacher (Grades 6-8) delivers certified English Language Arts instruction in a fully online environment for Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA), a Stride K12 partner school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online instruction aligned to state standards
- Monitor student progress using the learning management system
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and learning coaches
- Prepare students for standardized state assessments
- Maintain grades, academic records, and reports
- Participate in school events, testing, and professional collaboration
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least six months of student teaching experience
- Ohio state certification in Middle School English
- Residency in Ohio
- Ability to work full-time remotely with occasional travel
