Role Overview
The Academic Administrator/Principal directs and coordinates educational, administrative and counseling activities in a predominantly virtual K–12 environment for New Mexico Destination Career Academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure conformance of educational programs to state and local standards
- Manage teaching and administrative staff, including Master and Lead Teachers
- Oversee compliance with special education laws and regulations
- Develop and implement the school's Academic Improvement Plan
- Collaborate with teachers, students, and parents on academic and behavioral matters
Requirements
- Master's degree in education, business, or related field
- Five years of educational experience and one year supervisory experience
- New Mexico Academic Administrator/Principal Certification and Special Education Teaching License
- Experience as an online/virtual educator
Additional Information
This is a full-time, exempt, remote position with a preference for New Mexico residents. Travel up to 20% may be required.
