Role Overview
The Middle School English Teacher is a state-certified educator responsible for delivering English instruction in a virtual K–12 environment for the Digital Academy of Florida (DAOF), a Stride K12 partner school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous online instruction
- Differentiate instruction based on student mastery
- Monitor and assess student progress using the learning management system
- Communicate regularly with students and parents/learning coaches
- Prepare students for standardized assessments
- Maintain accurate grade books and academic integrity
- Travel occasionally for testing, meetings, and professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active Florida teaching license (5-9 or 6-12 English)
- ESOL and Reading Endorsements
- Ability to pass background check
- Florida residency required
Additional Information
This is a full-time, remote position with occasional travel. Teachers typically work from home during standard school hours.
