Role Overview
Stride K12 is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to serve students at Texas Virtual Academy of Hallsville (TVAH) for the 2026/2027 school year. This is a home-based, full-time role focused on supporting self-contained and ALT students through individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as teacher of record and deliver special education instruction
- Create and manage compliant IEPs, progress reports, and service logs
- Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and colleagues
- Provide synchronous and asynchronous virtual learning experiences
- Monitor student progress using assessment data and work samples
- Support in-person student testing and occasional travel
Requirements
- Texas Special Education Residency certification
- Ability to work remotely with up to 20% travel
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Additional Information
This is an at-will, regular full-time position with a starting salary around $52,000 per year.
