Role Overview
The Special Programs Academic Administrator directs and coordinates educational, administrative, and counseling activities for students at Michigan Virtual Charter Academy (MVCA), a Stride K12 partner school. The role supports a predominantly virtual learning environment and ensures compliance with state and federal requirements, including special education.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure educational programs conform to state and local standards.
- Manage teaching and administrative staff, including Master and Lead Teachers.
- Coordinate curriculum resources aligned to state standards.
- Support a virtual/remote instructional environment using communication technologies.
- Ensure compliance with special education, state, and federal laws.
- Develop and oversee the school's Academic Improvement Plan.
Requirements
- Master's degree in education, business, or related field.
- 5–7 years of educational experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Michigan Academic Administrator Certification.
- Special Education Teaching Certification.
- Residency in Michigan.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, remote role for Michigan residents, starting immediately for the 2025/2026 school year. Employment is at-will.
