Role Overview
Handshake is seeking experienced Creative Writers and writing professionals to support AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This is not a traditional full-time editorial, publishing, or agency role.
You will use your real-world writing, storytelling, and editing experience to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand creative writing techniques, narrative structure, voice, tone, and professional language.
Key Responsibilities
- Design job-related prompts using professional writing experience
- Review AI-generated responses for quality, creativity, clarity, voice, and relevance
- Provide feedback to improve AI understanding of real-world writing tasks
Work Details
- Status: Independent contractor (not a full-time employee role)
- Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection
- Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous, no minimum hour requirement
- Typical workload: Approximately 5–20 hours per week when assigned
Qualifications
- Experience as a Creative Writer or in closely related writing or editorial roles
- Hands-on experience developing original written content and editing drafts
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow written guidelines
- Professional judgment, reliability, and discretion with sensitive information
