Role Overview
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) / Vice President for Marketing and Brand Strategy is a cabinet-level leader reporting directly to the President. The role is responsible for market positioning, demand generation, brand strategy, and growth across the Columbia College system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead integrated marketing and brand strategy to advance enrollment and institutional reputation.
- Oversee enrollment marketing across undergraduate, graduate, adult, and online programs.
- Drive digital marketing strategy including SEO/SEM, paid media, social, and web platforms.
- Guide the evolution toward an AI-enabled marketing ecosystem using analytics and personalization.
- Own market research and competitive intelligence to inform institutional strategy.
- Lead and develop marketing staff, vendors, and budget.
