Role Overview
The Special Programs Manager oversees all matters related to special education for Highpoint Virtual Academy of Michigan, supporting compliance, instructional quality, and student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement special education policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal special education regulations
- Oversee IEPs, evaluations, and related services delivery
- Supervise and support special education staff and contractors
- Coordinate accommodations for state testing and enrollment processes
Requirements
- Michigan Special Education Teacher Certification
- Michigan School Administrator certificate
- Minimum three years of special education teaching experience
- Ability to reside in Michigan and travel up to 20%
