Role Overview

The Brand Experience Web Lead leads web strategy and user experience for key institutional websites at George Washington University, ensuring a cohesive, accessible, and high-quality brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-traffic institutional websites using Drupal or WordPress.
  • Develop content and editorial strategies aligned with university goals.
  • Apply SEO, analytics, and digital accessibility best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional web strategy and improve key user journeys.
  • Ensure quality assurance, brand standards, and accessibility compliance.
  • Manage projects, timelines, and supervise at least one direct report.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree.
  • Experience with CMS platforms and web fundamentals (HTML, CSS).
  • Preferred: higher education experience, Drupal 9/10, WCAG, SEO, CRM tools.
