Role Overview
The Learning and Development Manager provides functional leadership and operational oversight for Learning & Development initiatives within the Employee Engagement portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director of Employee Engagement, the role translates the University’s L&D strategy into scalable, high-impact programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead creation of strategic L&D roadmaps and organizational needs assessments.
- Design and deliver professional development programs for leaders and teams.
- Oversee HR and Leadership Academies and ensure alignment with institutional priorities.
- Manage learning operations, staff supervision, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop learning technology strategy including LMS, authoring tools, and AI-enabled platforms.
- Establish evaluation frameworks to measure effectiveness and ROI of programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of learning and development experience.
- Extensive experience in leadership and HR curriculum design and delivery.
- Experience leading teams and enterprise-wide learning initiatives.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Additional Information
Remote, full-time role based in Amherst, Massachusetts. Travel within Massachusetts 5–8 times per year may be required.
