Role Overview
The High School Science Teacher is a state-certified educator delivering online science instruction for Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA), a Stride K12 partner school. This is a full-time, remote role for the 2026/2027 school year, with a strong preference for Arkansas residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide synchronous and asynchronous online science instruction.
- Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery.
- Monitor student progress using Stride K12 learning management systems.
- Maintain grade books and prepare students for standardized testing.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents/learning coaches.
- Travel periodically for testing, professional development, and school events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active Arkansas state high school science teaching certification.
- Ability to clear required background checks.
- Ability to work full-time from a professional home office.
