Job Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will partner with Product and Design to break down ambiguous business problems into scalable backend solutions, owning both technical approach and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend systems and infrastructure
- Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to shape requirements
- Develop APIs, service architecture, and data models
- Measure impact through monitoring, testing, and A/B experiments
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in software engineering
- Expertise in scalable microservices and storage layers
- Experience with Java, MySQL, Kafka, and cloud infrastructure
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, data-driven teams
Compensation
US Zone 2 salary range: $137,600 - $179,000 annually, plus benefits, bonus, and equity.
