Role Overview
The Middle School Math Teacher (Grades 6-8) delivers state-aligned math instruction in an online environment for Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA), a Stride K12 partner school. The role focuses on student achievement, personalized learning, and close collaboration with families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online math instruction.
- Monitor student progress using the learning management system.
- Prepare students for standardized state assessments.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents/learning coaches.
- Maintain accurate gradebooks and academic records.
- Travel occasionally for state testing and school functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with six months of student teaching experience.
- Ohio Middle School Math certification (Integrated Math preferred).
- Must reside in Ohio.
- Ability to work full-time remotely with a professional home office.
