Role Overview
The Middle School Special Education Teacher delivers online instruction and manages individualized learning plans for students with special needs at Volunteer State Virtual Academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage compliant IEPs and progress reports
- Provide synchronous and asynchronous online instruction
- Collaborate with families, learning coaches, and service providers
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Prepare students for standardized testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active Tennessee teaching certification
- Ability to pass background check
- Ability to travel up to 20% for in-person events
Additional Information
This is a full-time, remote position with residency preference in Tennessee. Start date is July 2026.
