Role Overview
Uncommon Schools is seeking a Senior Developer to lead the vision and deployment of AI solutions across the organization. This role focuses on building scalable AI infrastructure, intelligent agents, and secure integrations to support educators and administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into end-to-end AI system architectures
- Design and deploy AI agents, RAG pipelines, and secure API integrations
- Prototype AI solutions using LLMs and agent frameworks
- Establish reusable AI templates and low-code tools
- Ensure compliance with data security and PII handling standards
- Mentor developers and coach teams on AI best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Experience with APIs, CI/CD, and cloud platforms
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain or TensorFlow preferred
