Lead the design and deployment of scalable, production-ready AI systems, mentoring engineers and aligning applied AI with K12 educational and enterprise objectives.

Role Overview

The AI Architect designs and delivers production-ready AI solutions across the organization, leading a small team to build scalable machine learning systems aligned with business goals in a K12 context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and deploy machine learning models, especially NLP and recommender systems.
  • Build scalable AI systems using AWS, Azure, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Oversee end-to-end ML pipelines including data ingestion, training, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Supervise and mentor 1-3 AI Engineers and cross-functional contributors.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, documentation, and responsible AI practices.
  • Align AI initiatives with organizational strategy and K12 educational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and 6+ years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience deploying ML models using Python and libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Proficiency with AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Strong communication, planning, and analytical skills.
