Role Overview
The Remote Middle School English Teacher is a state-certified educator responsible for delivering English instruction to grades 5–8 students in an online environment at Indiana Digital Learning School (INDLS), a Stride K12 partner school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online instruction
- Monitor student progress using Stride K12 learning management system
- Differentiate instruction based on student mastery
- Maintain accurate gradebooks and academic integrity
- Prepare students for standardized assessments
- Communicate regularly with families and learning coaches
- Travel periodically for testing and professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active state teaching license (English Grades 5–8)
- Indiana residency or ability to obtain reciprocity within 60 days
- Ability to pass background check
