Role Overview

The Instructional Designer will report to the Curriculum Manager and play a central role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing courses across academic subject areas. This hybrid role combines instructional design expertise with course coordination responsibilities to support faculty, improve learning experiences, and maintain academic integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, revise, and evaluate courses using evidence-based instructional practices and digital learning tools.
  • Build accessible, engaging, and inclusive learning materials aligned with institutional policies and learning outcomes.
  • Develop assessments, rubrics, and learning activities that maintain academic rigor.
  • Maintain master course shells and ensure consistency across multiple sections.
  • Design and deliver faculty training and professional development.
  • Teach a minimum of one course per quarter.
  • Leverage educational technologies, including AI-enabled platforms, to iterate curriculum at scale.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in education or a related field.
  • College-level teaching experience, preferably online.
  • Ability to translate disciplinary knowledge into outcomes-driven curriculum.
  • Collaborative experience supporting and training faculty.

Additional Information

Hybrid schedule with in-office days in NYC (Tuesday–Thursday). Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits.
