Role Overview
The Field Area Sales Director leads a team of sales professionals serving large K-12 districts across California, driving revenue growth and strategic partnerships for HMH’s intervention solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned territory quota across all lines of business.
- Lead, coach, and manage Account Executives and Account Managers.
- Develop sales forecasts and manage pipeline using Salesforce.
- Build relationships with district stakeholders and partners.
- Deliver sales presentations and support closing activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing and customer success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s desirable.
- 7–10 years EdTech sales experience; 3–5 years management preferred.
- Experience in educational sales and K-12 environments.
- Ability to travel 60–70% domestically.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar sales tools.
