Role Overview

The Field Area Sales Director leads a team of sales professionals serving large K-12 districts across California, driving revenue growth and strategic partnerships for HMH’s intervention solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned territory quota across all lines of business.
  • Lead, coach, and manage Account Executives and Account Managers.
  • Develop sales forecasts and manage pipeline using Salesforce.
  • Build relationships with district stakeholders and partners.
  • Deliver sales presentations and support closing activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing and customer success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s desirable.
  • 7–10 years EdTech sales experience; 3–5 years management preferred.
  • Experience in educational sales and K-12 environments.
  • Ability to travel 60–70% domestically.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar sales tools.
