Role Overview
The High School English Teacher (9-12) is a state-certified educator responsible for delivering English instruction in an online learning environment for Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA), a Stride K12 partner school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online English instruction
- Monitor student progress using the learning management system
- Prepare students for standardized assessments
- Maintain gradebooks and submit required academic reports
- Communicate regularly with students and parents/Learning Coaches
- Participate in school activities and occasional in-person testing events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and six months of student teaching experience
- Valid Ohio State English teaching license
- Must reside in Ohio
- Ability to work independently from a home office
