Supports and maintains a Cisco-based campus network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and security in a higher education environment.

Role Overview

The Network Engineer is responsible for installation, configuration, monitoring, and operational support of the College’s enterprise network infrastructure in a higher education environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and generate reports using monitoring tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance including firmware updates and configuration backups.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and inventory records.
  • Assist with network security policies, ACLs, VPNs, and firewall rules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CCNA certification required.
  • 3–5 years of network engineering or administration experience.
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies and monitoring tools.
