Role Overview
The High School English Teacher is a state-certified educator responsible for delivering English course content in an online environment for Alabama Destinations Career Academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online instruction
- Monitor student progress using Stride K12 learning management systems
- Differentiate instruction and personalize learning
- Prepare students for standardized assessments
- Communicate regularly with students and parents/learning coaches
- Maintain gradebooks and academic integrity
- Travel occasionally for testing, training, or school events
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active Alabama Secondary English Teaching Certificate
- Ability to pass background checks
Additional Information
This is a full-time, remote position with occasional in-person travel within Alabama. Start date is July 2026.
