Role Overview
The Middle School Special Education Teacher is a state-certified educator delivering online instruction to students with special needs in a virtual environment. The role focuses on individualized instruction aligned to each student's IEP.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous online instruction
- Develop and manage compliant IEPs and progress reports
- Collaborate with parents and service providers
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Ensure accommodations and inclusion in general education
- Prepare students for standardized assessments
Requirements
- Michigan Teaching Certification with Special Education endorsement
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to work full time in a virtual home office
