About the Role
Paper is building the first B2B, in-classroom Voice + Video AI Tutor designed for real-world learning environments. The Senior AI / Machine Learning Manager will lead a team building multimodal AI systems that power critical product features across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and deployment of AI-powered product features.
- Architect real-time multimodal AI systems integrating audio, video, and text.
- Guide LLM orchestration, retrieval systems, and agent-based workflows.
- Manage and mentor a team of ML engineers and data scientists.
- Establish evaluation frameworks, MLOps best practices, and monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
- 7+ years building production AI/ML systems.
- 2+ years leading ML/AI teams.
- Experience with multimodal systems and generative AI.
Additional Information
The annual salary range is $195,000 - $220,000 USD or $160,000 - $190,000 CAD, plus equity.
