Role Overview
The Middle School Special Education Teacher is a state-certified educator responsible for delivering online instruction and support to students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous instruction aligned to IEPs
- Develop compliant IEPs and special education documentation
- Communicate regularly with parents and service staff
- Monitor and document student progress and interventions
- Facilitate IEP meetings and ensure service compliance
Requirements
- Michigan Teaching Certification with Special Education endorsement
- Bachelor’s degree and active state teaching license
- Ability to work full-time remotely with up to 20% travel
