Role Overview
As a Data Engineer at QS, you will build and maintain data pipelines that power analytics and AI platforms within the higher education sector. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Kuala Lumpur with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured datasets.
- Integrate external datasets into data lake and analytics platforms.
- Collaborate on data quality, governance, and security best practices.
- Build automated workflows for data acquisition and validation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance.
- Work with APIs and web scraping tools.
Requirements
- Experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with AWS and data warehousing tools such as Snowflake.
- Familiarity with Airflow, dbt, and Git.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
