Role Overview
QS is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and services supporting enterprise analytics and AI platforms in higher education.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain ELT/ETL data pipelines, including real-time and streaming data
- Build and optimize data transformations with embedded data quality and lineage
- Develop core data models for lakehouses and marts
- Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external consumers
- Support knowledge graph enrichment, entity resolution, and vector search
- Implement data quality tests, data contracts, and schema management
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake
- Experience with orchestration tools like Glue, Airflow, or dbt
- Experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and event-driven patterns
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
